  1. East: 76ers

They are young talented, and now have a great true low-post presence that can dominate both end of the court.

    West: Hornets

still improving, but I think we have seen what they can do, and that if they can live another injury free year, I see them as the 2nd best team in the West.

But I will bet it's going to be: Lakers vs Celtics AGAIN.

Lakers are getting much better with Bynum, while there aren't any serious threat to challenge the Celtics dominance in the East.

  2. East: Milwaukee

    West: Sacramento!!!

Player: Rudy Fernandez, Andre Miller, Rodney Stuckey.

  3. I think there are couple of interesting teams to keep a serious eye on for '08-'09:   In the East, everybody seems to think it's about the Boston Celtics.  They had a great '07-'08 season but don't expect that same dominance next season.  Their core is a year older & a lot less hungry.....plus the loss of Posey will definately be felt.  That being said,  Look for them to be the favorite in the East.  I've got 2 dark horses for you:   First........the Miami Heat.  Make no mistake,  this team will be very formidable!  The team pretty much mailed it in last year, trading Shaq,  Riley taking time off during the season to "SCOUT" the NCAA Tournament (Whatever!),   & although Wade was healthy enough to play, they chose to shut him down for the year (& why not?....they weren't going anywhere).  This year will be much different.   Wade will be back, healthy (for the most part) & ready to prove to the league & his doubters that he can be THE franchise,  Shawn Marion is a great addition & # 2 type of guy....& expect the 2nd overall pick of the draft Beasley to be force he's projected to be.  If this team can place the proper role players around these 3 they can really wreck havoc in the East!   Second......the Bulls.   This team really should have been a lot better last year but found their season in a tailspin they couldn't get out of after all the Kobe trade rumors.  Their core is still young & a few of their players kind of lost their confidence after being shopped in a possible deal.  Make no error when looking at this team.....Deng is maybe just a year away from being a consistent  20 10 & 5 guy,  & the #1 overall pick Rose, will quickly take the starting role away from Heinrich....probably before Christmas!  He is the perfect point guard to mix with this incredibly talented & athletic bunch.....this offense will be rolling by January,  so expect about 50 wins from this bunch, especially with a receding Detroit team & a "1 man show" in Cleveland as their primary division rivals.  The big question is how will Vinney run this team?

As for the West:  It's all about the heavyweights!  The Hornets are no longer an obscure underdog....they have shown themselves to be contenders & with the addition of Posey, expect the hunger to show.   But if I have to pick a dark horse, I'd say it''s the Houston Rockets.....but don't expect a whole lot from them.

  4. Dark Horse player: Shaq, it'll be interesting to see how he can shut the media up by dominate once again, cause he always find a way to do that.

Dark Horse Team: Mavs, I think J-Kidd will be much more comfortable by now. They should have a good chance, they got an exciting player, Gerald Green, and picked back up Diop. They should be good, at least title contenders
