The Dark Knight was good and all?

Question

I don't get what the big hoopla is about it. I mean come on. It just another good movie. What's so special about it? I think alot of people just like cuz people expect them too. And just cuz Heath died. I'm probably gona get alot of rude comments but oh well. Just here to voice my opinions.

I personally enjoyed it.

Do I think it should be number three on IMDb's top 250? Not really. Although it was a good movie, I'm not so sure about it being ranked above many of the classics.

I'm not sure about Ledger's death being a factor, but I do have to admit he gave an excellent performance, alive or not. I think people would have enjoyed the movie either way, I don't really think it matters much that he died, he still acted very well in the role of the Joker.

I think it was a good movie, the best Batman movie ever but its not the best movie of all times. I think the main reason it was sold out and got alot of money is because Heath. Yes I agree he did an amazing job but its really sad that the only reason this movie is so big is because he died. I bet that if he was still alive there wouldn't have been as much hype as there was. Same thing happend when James Dean died he became more popular. Sad if you ask me

I'm in the minority in that I didn't really care for it.  It had three climaxes (a movie is only supposed to have one) which made it more like three movies.  They spent way too much time building up Harvey Dent's character, only to kill him off in the end.  I actually got bored watching it.  Not good.

It got all the hype because it is better than the other Batman movies (minus the Michael Keaton one -- I don't care what anyone says, but Christian Bale pales in comparison and the voice thing is extremely obnoxious) and because it was Heath Ledger's last complete role.  I will say that he was amazing in the film and really brought the Joker to life.

I was really shocked to hear the movie has become the 2nd best grossing movie of all time (1st movie is Titanic). I guess this had to do with tons of advertisements. Everywhere you went on the internet that was entertainment related, you had these "Dark Knight" ads that were always in your face.

The movie itself was much better than the original "The Batman", but I still feel he doesn't need to make that raspy voice when he becomes Batman, it just sounds really weird. :-|

Batman Begins was good but not that good

The Dark Knight Was Waaaaay better

and joker is like almost everyones favorite villian and i think that bringing a new character to the film was what all the "HOOPLA" was about

bringing in a new character with a different look

played by a younger person is very exciting to me

and heath ledger is a fabulous actor he did an excellent job.

he is my all time favorite actor

your just one person

millions of people loved this movie

and by you not liking it

doesnt affect anyone

It had alot of action, but so did alot of other movies.

Alot of people liked it because Heath brought alot of eerieness to the table.

Just one look at the Joker, and you get the chills.

The Joker is the reason I enjoyed it so much.

well first cuz its a super good movie not just a good movie. its like as good as titanic was thats how good it was.

and yeah of course its cuz heith ledger died but not just cuz he unfortunately died before its release which before he died the movie was expected to be a hit and him dieing just made it all that more interesting for people to want to see it. cuz they wanted to see  how the roll could've led to a mans death and after watching it you can understand how it could've led to his death.

so i don't think the reason everyone wants to see it is cuz he died and they feel this was his last movie so they want to see it its do to the fact that everyone wants to see the movie that killed a man.

yeah, i thought it was just another comic book movie. but i really DID think heath as the joker was fantastic, regardless of whether or not he is currently living.

i guess it's a matter of opinion. because, while i agree with you on this, i also hated twilight, which i'm guessing you like.
