Okay Im Kinda Doing My Homework But I Forgot What Mean,Median,& Mode Mean So I Cant Really Do My Homework

  1. mean - add them all up and divide by the number of items you have

    median - put them all in order, least to greatest, and the median is the middle number (or the mean of the middle two numbers if there is no middle number)

    mode - the one that occurs the most, e.g. if you had 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, the mode is 3, because there are three threes and only two of the others.

    The mean is average.

  5. Mean: add them all together and divide by the number of "numbers" ex: 1, 2, 3,4,5 ......1+2+3+4+5+15....

    15/5=3....so 3 is the mean

    Median: the middle number in an ordered set of data ex. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5....3 is the median

    Mode: the number that appears most often ex: 1, 2, 2, 3...2 is the mode.

    for example..

    2, 4, 6, 4

    2 + 4 + 6 + 4 = 16

    16 divided by 4 (because there are 4 numbers)

    4 is the mean of those numbers

    Median -  the middle number

    1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13

    7 is the median

    Mode -  the number that appears most often

    1, 5, 1, 8, 12, 1

    1 would be the mode..

  12. mean, that's the average. you have to get the total of all the samples divided by the number of samples. mode, i think is the total between the lowest and the highest. median, its when you rank the samples and you can get it by having the middle most sample in the rank

    Mode - the number that appears the most in a discrete range of finite numbers.

    Median - If you arrange the numbers in the set from highest to lowest or lowest to highest it would be the number in the very middle... if you have an even number of items in the set then take the two middle numbers and average them.

    MEDIAN = remember this because "median" sounds vaguely like "medium" - which it is. it's the middle number of a sequence.

    MODE = the modal number is the most- sounds vaguely like mode, huh? so if you had seven 9s in your sequence but only two 4s, then 9 would be the modal number.
