Anne reports on her attempts at negotiation with Mr. Dussel over the use of the table in their shared room (July 13th,1943). Does it seem to you that she is right ? how would Mr. Dussel describe the argument ?

It took me forever and i still can't figure it out. so please help me. I'll return the favor.

  1. Anne requested an extra 1.5 hours at the table twice a week, which IMO is a bit much considering whatever needs the rest of the people hiding with her may have had.

Dussel probably saw Anne as a willful spoiled brat who wanted too much. Given Anne's comment, “Düssel . . . didn’t speak to me for two days and still had to go and sit at the table from five till half-past—frightfully childish. A person of fifty-four who is still pedantic and small-minded must be so by nature, and will never improve”, the feeling was mutual.
