Question:

The Difference between reality and global warming?

In my opinion, I 100% don't believe in Global Warming. Im just looking for people out there that agree. I think its just the media trying to scare us into saving money because our economy is bad. The world is already a couple million years old, so you honestly think its going to remain the exact same after millions of years? Yes, cutting down trees for paper is taking a toll on wildlife, but thats a man-made idea, its not the world caving in on us. The whole global warming issue is a conspriacy by the government to help us conserve our resources, because as the worlds population grows, our resources decrease. In my thoughts, its a bunch of BS, does anyone have a ledgitimate explination to global warming to help me believe its true?

  1. I think they honestly don't know for sure we are still trying to understand the climate of the planet.  We still cannot forecast the weather correctly most of the time but they point to a computer model and take the results as fact.

  2. First of all GW is a reality. Now if you dont agree to it than dont, its anyway your life which is going to end. And if you want to get convinced there is a answer which i posted yesterday: "I dont agree to this at all!! Global Warming is extremely real and whatever Al Gore says is the part of an Absolute TRUTH. For God's sake, there are no lies attached to it. First of all answer this: who told you that GW is caused due to CO2. It is not the ultimate reason. There are many other factors which are responsible. First is the pollution. Second is the cutting of trees. One idiot gave an answer that plants clear the CO2 but first of all get THAT plants which will clear CO2. We are destroying ourselves. It is not the gases which will kill us. Floods Storms and rains would kill us too. Global warming was a risk factor since the beginning of the industrial revolution in Europe but it wasn't a much problem at that time because Earth was able to compensate for the losses. In last five years all this has piled up and now there is no solution to this risk. Deserts are expanding. One and only reason is the cutting of trees. Population is rising, land is needed, trees are cut down, trees are responsible for amount of rains in particular are and when this trees are not there how will rains come?? I think you have misconception about currents. It is not the currents which decide climate but the reverse. Lakes are drying due to high temperatures. Earth's climate moreover was never stable and it was pre-decided that destructions are going to be followed by ultimate development because of pollution and global temperature rise, ecological imbalance etc.. As you said the conditions are already inverse. In winter, the climate is most cold even though due to high temperatures. GW does not only refer to heating but also includes every aspect of natural destruction."

Now if you feel that you want to get convinced and this is not enough, I have got more of it so do contact me(kap_asl_ali@yahoo.co.in) if you wish to know that part.

  3. The so called global warming is only a concept advocated by a section of scientific community.Whether it is happening or not ,nobody knows with certainty. There is neither a standard scientific method which is mutually and globally accepted nor any global authority to decide whether any particular effect on a particular location is caused by global warming and not by any other factor.

  4. the earth is getting warmer, and you can tell by the decrease of the polar icecaps (I believe thats what they call them) the ice on the poles of the earth are melting- and these are HUGE amounts of ice.  It is causing a problem with the wildlife that live on the ice and depend on it for survival.   You can probably find pictures on the web. There are decreasing wildlife populations all over the world because of temperature and climate changes, and it is not just bs. It is very gradual, and that is why people don't really buy the whole idea.  It's not something that you can see, or feel, but that doesn't mean it isn't happening.  It isn't being caused by the trees being cut down, as trees are renewable resource, you can always plant more.  It is being caused by "greenhouse gas".  Pollution in the air from factories and engine emissions, massive burnings of forrest for farmland and new buildings.  Ever hear of ozone???  The pollution IS wrecking the ozone.  Because it is so gradual, it can be hard to believe  but the world is not headed in a very good direction.

  5. No one can say that it will be warmer or colder in the future.  They are just giving you their guess if they do.

No one can predict the future.  And that ain't science, that's the realm of mystics.

  6. I WISH YOU WERE RIGHT

  7. I grew up in New Hampshire and the summer time temp could reach 90 deg quite often.  In the winter it could often be 0 deg.

So every year I survived temp swings of 90 degrees.

Now someone comes along and says, "Be very scared, in the next 100 years the temp might go up 2 degrees".

It just doesn't even really get my attention.

Here is a short excerpt from James Hogan.  His book, "Kicking the Sacred Cow" is worth a read just for the global warming part.

    UNBEARABLE?

Few generations of young people can have been so betrayed by the adult world that their natural instincts lead them to trust, and which they depend on for security and guidance than those of today. If they're not in parts of the world that are being bombed, looted, or exploited for cheap labor, they are cynically manipulated to become wage and tax slaves on the consumer treadmill and force-fed a diet of scare stories and politically correct ideologogies designed to instill fear, conformity, and subservience. The latest emetic that I read told of children coming home in tears after being told at school that we're wiping out the polar bears. Well, sorry, but the world was as warm in the 1930s as it is now, warmer in the late medieval period, warmer still in Roman times, a lot warmer a few thousand years before that when southern England was tropical, and the polar bears came through just fine. Actual studies of present populations show that they're again managing to thrive regardless--maybe because they don't watch TV.

  8. it's true because the media says so, now fall into line!

  9. Im with you man theres a small minority of the world that will just say "I don't believe it and stop ramming it down my throat"

It's more than just us trying to save money(even though we aren't by buying useless technology like solar panels pff they don't last for long you know) its about pushing us back to a point where we don't have technology and when we all live in trees!

  10. I somewhat agree with you. Global warming is just a natural occurence that is hyped-up by the media and Al Gore. The Earth is constantly changing. Yes, it is getting warmer. But then if you think about it, it's only natural. Here's my QUICK and LAZY explaination of what I mean: millions of years ago --> volcanoes spewing lava everywhere --> millions of years later --> ice age --> millions of years later --> thaw --> present time --> the Earth is still thawing out.
