I really liked both those guys. Is Drake next? Man, those are 3 of my favorite people... Mclennan deserved a head coach job though, I'm happy for him... but extermely mad at San Jose.

So who do you think your team will lose this season?

  1. I think the Blues are going to lose Ryan Johnson

He's one of the those players that all teams should be able to afford and every team should want. He gives 100% on every shift and is a penalty kill guru.

Unfortunatly the Blues spent way too much money on 3rd and 4th line guys that ended up being horrible.

  2. The loss of neither one of these guys is a big surprise.  Hasek couldn't go more than a few weeks at a time without injury, so his retirement was expected.  McLennan has been part of a winning organization, so you would expect people to want him.  These are the inevitable downsides of winning.  I don't think the Wings team will change much heading into next year, though.

  3. excuse me dont be mad a the sharks, they did nothing wrong.

  4. Here in Caps land we already know Olie Kolzig's gone....unless a miracle happens, which it won't.  With all our other FA's nobody has a clue, it could go either way.  It pretty much shakes out like this for us:

Sergei Fedorov---valuable asset especially as a mentor but may want too much money.  He may end up going home to Russia.

Mike Green--Goals leader for all D-men due for a raise but how much is too much?  Luckily for us he's only an RFA so we have the right to match whatever he's offered or go for compensation.

Brooks Laich--improved two-way play, picked up where Chris Clark left off.  Could end up being the one FA that leaves, not that we wouldn't miss him.

Cristobal Huet---scariest of all...Caps are sunk without a proven #1 goalie, but will management give him the deal he wants--long term and in the $5 mil range?  Should be a no-brainer, but you can never tell.

Matt Cooke---was fun to see him play, but he's definitely gone; victim of the numbers game.

Shaone Morrisonn---can't see him leaving, he's becoming a valuable asset on an improving defense corps

Boyd Gordon--heart and soul, he's staying

Steve Eminger--acquitted himself well late season and in the playoffs; it's up to him if he stays and most likely he will unless he gets benched again.

Quintin Laiing---likeable hard working defensive forward will probably end up with a 2-way contract or being a healthy scratch most nights. Best thing for him is to shop around, he deserves better.

Trade bait---Tom Poti, Michael Nylander, Viktor Kozlov, and Eric Fehr

Retirement--Brian Pothier....far too much damage from his concussion last year

  5. Leafs:

    Darcy Tucker is sadly gone

    Pavel Kubina will be traded

if Kubina isn't McCabe will be

Kyle Wellwood is gone, he's hurt AGAIN, he broke his foot playing indoor soccer.

Jason Blake MIGHT be gone, a few rumors about a buy out, but i doubt it.

    Andrew Raycroft might be leaving.

They might be looking to get rid of Colaiacovo

  6. The Penguins......Ryan Malone is a goner. I feel he'll end up in Minnesota.

I'm not saying anything about Marian Hossa.

I feel Jarkko Ruutu is silently packing his bags. He hasn't said he wants to leave, but he hasn't mentioned about returning either.....Hmmm....

I feel Mark Eaton is a goner too. He missed most of the season, and I can't see him being here next year.

I'm not saying anything about Ty Conklin....I'll miss him too much if he's gone.

Brooks Orpik will be gone too.

  7. My team, the Ottawa Senators, are losing Wade Redden and Ray Emery
