I already learned my lesson by spending the tax incentive money on medical bills before I got it and then didn't get it because alimony is not considered earned income.

Today's windfal might well be tomorrow's shortfall.

You are joking, I trust.  One good day doesn't make a "windfall", except maybe for extremely agile stock traders.  Anyone who has held stocks for more than a few days or so is still looking at substantial losses.

Still, string together enough good days, and soon the talking heads will be talking about a stock market rally.  Wait and hope.
