The Ducking Stool set to win Pontefract Gentlemen´s Handicap (For Gentleman Amateur Riders)
The brilliant trainer Julia Feilden’s chestnut mare, The Ducking Stool, is all set to deliver a winning performance in the high-stakes contest of the Pontefract Gentlemen´s Handicap (For Gentleman Amateur Riders) that will be held at Pontefract racecourse
on Wednesday, August 8.
On the good to firm track of 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 6 yards, the Class 5 race will begin at 2:30 (GMT). The five-year-old veteran runner is required to show her guts against seven strong competitors.
The maverick mare has been enjoying great form since the very dawn of 2012. On June 5, she marvellously won the Best Odds @ oddschecker.com Handicap over 1 mile and 2 furlongs at Yarmouth. The Cheveley Park Stud Ltd bred sprinter moved on to finish as the
runner-up in the Jockey Club Catering Amateur Riders' Handicap at Warwick on June 18.
The brilliant daughter of Where Or When out of Dance Sequel elegantly notched up first position in the Injured Jockeys Fund "Hands And Heels" Apprentice Series Handicap (Racing Excellence Initiative) at Yarmouth on July 5. She was the 3-1 hot favourite for
that race.
She gained one more runner-up position in her last start on August 5. That was the MC Seafoods Amateur Riders' Handicap (Div II).
In the light of these stats, it will be quite logical to claim that The Ducking Stool will be able to bag a classic conquest convincingly in the coming contest. Her only threat is Skyfire who made up to podium in each of his last three starts.
The Nick Kent trained chestnut gelding finished third in the Fossgate Handicap at Ripon on June 20. He went on to grab the runner-up position in the Glass Times Handicap that took place at Haydock on July 5.
The son of Storm Cat out of Sunray Superstar stepped ahead to get one more third spot in the 32RedPoker.com Handicap on July 21. As a whole, the experienced horse has won 2 of his total 23 starts so far.
Though the battle between the duo will be tough enough but The Ducking Stool is likely to thrive emphatically. Good luck to all the contestants.
