The Earths effect on flushing?

Ok, I know when you flush north of the equator, the water goes one way and south it goes the other.... What if you were right on the equator, does it just go straight down or what?

Yes, on the equator there is no Coriolis effect, that's the name of the force that causes rotation.

Actually it is the angle of the nozzles.  You can change the way a sink drains with your hand, try it.
