The Elea Golf Course, Now Open for Business
As if the scenic view and the region being the centre of international commerce weren’t enough reasons for people to start packing their bags and move to Cyprus. Yes, Cyprus is now home to one of the top 10 International Golf Courses of 2010 according to
golf.com.
The Elea Golf Club, an 18 hole course designed by the much acclaimed Sir Nick Faldo has finally opened up for business and has been creating a lot of the buzz worldwide. The course will also be featured in the January 2011 issue of the UK based Magazine,
Golf World. The course is being referred to as the “world’s most exciting new course”. Imagine playing on a course surrounded by the bluest of water as far as the eye can see; Bliss!
People with healthy bank statements also have the option of living right next to the course by purchasing the most amazing and luxurious property that is currently on sale.
The course itself is spread over an expansive 6,900 yards and is speckled with carob and olive trees, wild grasses and a number of other native species of flora which only adds to its beauty. The activists among us would be pleased to know that the entire
course has been built in a very environmentally conscious way. The designers have constructed the course in a way that will allow butterflies, birds and lizards to have a natural and safe home.
Designer Sir Nick Faldo had only one goal in mind while making the course; to make Cyprus the Number One golfing destination in Europe. He is very proud of his creation and claims that only world class golfer that thinks about and analyzes the shots will
be able to play the course. Strength alone will not get the player anywhere on this particular course.
“When we designed Elea Golf Club we decided to put the emphasis on thoughtful, rather than big-hitting, golf. There are plenty of strategic riddles for the golfer to explore and unravel over all 18 holes.”
For those looking to settle down in Cyprus, now is the ideal time to invest. The new golf course will keep attracting more and more people to the region and the properties will start selling like hotcakes. This will only pull up the property prices, so the
smart move would be to go for it now. The Elea Estate is a perfect example of the kind of property up for sale. The deluxe houses terraces overlook the course and the entire property is fashioned like a village style community complete with shops, restaurants,
a five star spa and health care centre.
At the moment, memberships to the Elea golf course are being offered to a limited number of people only. The Membership privileges include access to the bar, private terrace and locker rooms. They will also have access to the golf academy and given priority
when it comes to tee time preferences. Not a bad deal is it folks?
The golf clubs academy comes fully equipped with a driving range, bunkers, a putting green and target greens which overlook the entire golf course. The academy will also be home to a number of world class professionals who will help members improve their
game.
Paphos, the locality where the course is situated, is also a very central location with an International airport a mere 8 kilometres away. To add to the romance of living in such an exotic location are the myths and tales that region was the birth place
of the Greek goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite. The region has been included in UNESCO’s list of cultural and national treasures.
If none of this has sold you yet, imagine this: A scenic island surrounded by water, beautiful sun-kissed beaches and yourself lying there with a cocktail in your hand surrounded by beautiful faces. The sun, beaches, a good game of golf and beautiful women
– every man’s dream come true. What more could you ask for?!
