The Exec of our company is called Barbara. Would it be wrong to call her Babs?

You can never call your boss pet names, unless your s******g her and even then you can't say it in public.

Unless She says it IS Ok to call me Bab's, then I'd say, only when it is between you and she, alone! But, proper business etiquette and RESPECT says No!  No!!  No!!! As an Exec of your company, she and you should protect your company's image. Everyone should Act and Be Responsible... Manners!

You NEVER know who might hear you calling her Bab's and wonder WHO Bab's is, then think we HAVE A Disrespectful employee, "Bad-Mouthing" one of our Exec's, and what is she calling me, another co-worker; or A Client behind all of our back(s)?

You'd be fine to call her Babs, but only if she's introduced herself as that, or has said she doesn't mind, otherwise play it safe and call her Barbara
