Should convicted felons be given back the right to vote or did they forfeit that right when they committed a felony?

  1. They are still Americans.  They should be able to vote, and are able to do so in some states.


  2. if they did their time and are out of prison then they should be able to vote

  3. the key word here is "RIGHT" ......

    Congress shall pass NO LAW that infringes on the RIGHTS of Citizens  .........

    that does not depend on what the definition of what is is ............

  4. I think it should be based on more than one felony. I know a guy who got a felony evading arrest charge, when he was drunk. He's a 22-year-old college graduate, about to start his masters program. I feel bad that he will lose his right to vote, because he's a really good guy in the big picture and he's really into politics. I would make it to where you only lose your right to vote if you have been convicted of 2 or more felonies to at least give people a second chance.

  5. They forfeit there right to vote when they are convicted. It's part of their sentence and it should not be changed. The fools probably never voted anyway!  Why do you ask this anyway, is Obama getting desperate. lol
