The Ferrari Logo

Ferraris are very expensive Italian made cars. They were invented by an Italian man named Enzo Ferrari in 1929 in Modena, Italy. Ferrari's are exported to many countries such as France, Greece, Germany and The United States of America. Enzo Ferrari made beautiful fast cars to make his customers happy. The first Ferrari road car was made in 1947.

Ferrari made a world record for the most expensive car ever sold on May 17,2009 and has produces Bio-Fuel cars and Hybrid cars in addition to their racing models. Formula One and Formula 2 cars are also produced by the company.

"If I had to say that when I started, I thought of making more than just one car, I would be lying", Enzo Ferrari. Ferrari has given then world many amazing models such as the Ferrari 500, Ferrari F2003-GA, Ferrari 412T, Ferrari 126C4, Ferrari 312B, Ferrari 375 F1, Ferrari 288 GTO, Ferrari 125 S, Ferrari 750 Monza and Ferrari F 10.

But many people tend to wonder where to amazinf Ferrari logo evolved from. The famous symbol of the Ferrari race team is the Cavallino Rampante ("prancing horse"). A black prancing stallion  on a yellow shield, usually with the letters S F (for Scuderia Ferrari), with three stripes of green, white and red (the Italian national colors) at the top. The road cars have a rectangular badge on the hood and, optionally, the shield-shaped race logo on the sides of both front wings, close to the door.

On June 17, 1923, Enzo Ferrari won a race at the Savio track in Ravenna where he met the Countess Paolina, mother of Count Francesco Baracca, an ace of the Italian air force and national hero of World War I, who used to paint a horse on the side of his planes.

The Countess asked Enzo to use this horse on his cars, suggesting that it would bring him good luck. The original "prancing horse" on Baracca's airplane was painted in red on a white cloud-like shape, but Ferrari chose to have the horse in black, the way it has been painted as a sign of grief on Baracca's squadron planes after the pilot was killed in action, and he added a canary yellow background as this is the color of the city of Modena, his birthplace.
