I just watched this film which I thought was really good.

However I got a bit lost at the end, when she wakes up when the kids run into the room and everything is in boxes and she stands up and is pregnant, was it all a dream or did her husband actually die.

  2. her husband did die but she didnt know she was preganant at the time! it is a very good but very confusing film, its the kind of film you have to watch a few times to understand because so much happens you miss things.

  3. Yes the film is very confusing! At the end of the film we learn that it was Linda's fault for Jim's death.

Ok basically Jim really does die! and she is pregnant because on the last night before Jim dies she has s*x with him.

We know this because when Linda speaks to Father Kennedy and explains that she’s very scared, he tells her to have Faith and that life itself can be a miracle.

Father Kennedy has an entire book detailing incidents similar to hers. A woman during the colonial period predicted a terrible storm coming in and destroying the entire town. She was hanged as a witch, and two days later, the town was destroyed by a storm. In a more recent period, a man from the early 1900s saw the gravestones of his two young children in a dream during the influenza pandemic. He went home and shot the children to save them from the pain of the sickness, but the autopsies showed that they were never infected. The man ended up killing himself a week later. Kennedy explains that the faithless are like empty vessels. There’s nothing inside, so they’re more susceptible to greater forces. He says that she must have faith and that life itself can be a miracle. Linda tells Kennedy that she doesn’t believe in miracles, but she desperately needs faith and stability right now and asks him how she can get it. Kennedy tells her that faith is simply the belief in something you can’t see or touch, but you can feel, such as love and hope. She must find something to believe in, something she’s willing to fight for. Linda tearfully tells the father that she doesn’t know what to fight for.

At the end of the film they are moving house after what has happened to Jim, but Linda is also pregnant.

Linda moves to sit on the edge of the bed when suddenly Father Kennedy's voice runs through her head, saying that every day we’re alive can be a miracle.

This was the miracle Father Kennedy was talking about.

She has lost Jim but a miracle has happened; her being pregnant with Jim's Baby

  4. Actaully, all those things didnt happen yet thats why it called as premonition.
