-Is this a good move for Foley himself?

-What will he bring to the table in TNA?

What do you think overall about this and how do you think TNA will be with Foley and after Foley, seeing as he's supposedly signed a short-term deal.

  1. According to wrestlingzone.com, Mick Foley's contract expired on 9/1/08 and Mick says he is grateful to WWE and the opportunities Vince gave him. He says it is time to pursue other avenues and this was "his" decision.

I'm sure WWE fans wiill miss him and no matter where he goes, he will have that (likable) character - whether it be Cactus Jack or Mankind or Dude Love (or) just plain Mick Foley. LIke Bob Hope always said: Thanks for the memories.

  2. Im not a big foley fan myself, but i like him MUCH better in the ring than announcing. Thats just my opinion though.

  3. That makes me insanely happy, to realise that he wont be coming back to commentary. He really irritated me that much.

I think it´s a good move for Foley. I don't think he'll go in as someone expected to spike ratings though. He would best serve TNA (and his legacy) as someone who works infrequent programs, and takes maybe one or two big bumps a year, to elevate people lower in the card. A single bump from foley can be worth much more to several midcard wrestlers careers than a year of current booking.
