Former World Heavyweight Champion, Christian retains his position in Top 5 superstars
The Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science unveiled the rankings for this week today. The Captain Charisma, Christian, kept on retaining his fifth position in the WWE Rankings. Christian was also in the top 5 superstars list previous week.
The SmackDown segment took place tonight where Christian interrupted in the match of the World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton, against Sheamus and cost him the match. Christian and Orton are set to collide for a World Title match at Capitol Punishment.
On, June 3, Christian was made a special guest referee in a World Heavyweight Championship match between Randy Orton and Sheamus in Friday Night SmackDown. Christian was put into a fight against Mark Henry during the start of the SmackDown show. Christian
brutally defeated The World’s Strongest Man, Henry, in a short span of time. After the fight, Christian said that he was not treated fairly during the previous show. He said that he wanted to be the number one contender again.
The SmackDown's General Manager did not make him the number one contender, but he was made the referee for that match. Christian caused victory for Randy Orton, but in the end attacked him also. The victory over Mark Henry and the special guest referee's
role gave him the fifth place in the Power 25 list.
This week, Christian retained his fifth position again, but The Viper dropped his place from first to third place due to defeat in the match.
Christian is much confident of winning the belt tonight in Friday Night SmackDown. The Captain Charisma has already given the title shot at Over the Limit on May 22. But unfortunately, Christian could not stand over The Viper and lost his opportunity. Moreover,
Christian also lost a triple threat match against Sheamus and Mark Henry during Friday Night SmackDown on May 27. The Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science dropped Christian on seventh from third position due to those losses. But last week Christian recovered
it somehow and jumped upward on fifth place.
The WWE Universe is excited to see both the SmackDown Superstars colliding for World Championship. The next pay-per-view event will decide that whether Orton will retain his championship or Christian will be successful in achieving his seventeen year’s dream
again.
