The French Imperfect Tense?

I never knew this, but supposedly there is a sentence or letters you can use to remember the imperfect tense? Ha! I am from France and I never heard of it but it was one of my weaker subjects when I was learning it... I am curious as to what it is...

  1. I've never come across a mnemonic for learning the imperfect tense - ais, ais, ait, ions, iez, aient is pretty straightforward.

There is one for learning which verbs take the auxiliary etre:

"DR.MRS.VANDERTRAMPP". Because all of these verbs are also verbs of movement : Devenir, Revenir, Mourir, Rentrer, Sortir, etc.
