there are already two teams in the afl with similar colours so i am not sure how they got the go ahead

Lions - Maroon, blue and gold

Boring colours - similar to the Crows which suit them but not for a new team.

No nickname - what can people relate to about the club? There must be hundreds of clubs, organisations and business's with Gold Coast in their name. Not having a nickname depersonalises the club and lacks appeal for prospective members, especially kids, who would probably much prefer a team with a "Lion mascot" anyday.

Having seen their so-called mascot, i am wondering whether they are moving towards calling themselves the guards or something. Hes got a Guy Leech look about him!

Witht he AFL so addamant about competing with NRL, how much appeal does 'Gold Coast Football Club' have compared to 'Gold Coast Titans'?

I am very disappointed and by the look of those in the media, I am not the only one!

How can they be R,B,Y & W isn't that the Camry Crows colours.

I think they should be Gold and Pink for the glitz of their location.

i hate the idea of no nickname. how boring. and the colours, they just stole the crows colours and added white. wow what a big night for the goldcoast lol

The no-name thing is a real disaster, it invites the sarcastic types like myself to think of one for them.,

Meter Men - for the people who used to tour the GC putting coins in where needed.

Perfectly fine IMO. Best to let a nickname develop over time then dump one on them that doesn't identify/fit with the club.
