  1. Sure, there isn't any reason that it wouldn't be. It treats all city employees the same and there are only a couple of car brands that are actually imported

  2. No, it is not legal and can easily be challenged in court. The city can, and should, use tax dollars to support the U.S. economy by purchasing products made in America, including vehicles.

  3. No it's not legal, like any form of protectionism forcefully applied to people, companies, institutions. People should be free to buy whatever they want. h**l, if I want to drive a cheap three-wheel wooden car made in India, I'll buy it, nobody has the right to tell me otherwise.

  4. I would be curious as to the legality of requiring you to OWN a car...  I mean in an administrative position, why would you need a car?  SURE, you could require a license, but a car?

  5. I don't know if it is legal OR possible to own a car that is 100% made in the USA. I mean, can you buy a Toyota truck which was made in Kentucky? What happens if you  buy a Pontiac with a Mitsubishi engine in it? What is Chrysler these days? American or European?

  6. 12 & Ryan here. I read that in the Detroit Free press. I don't see how this can be legal, it's a violation of the 1st amendment. h**l, my brother works for ford and owns a BMW (commie b*****d)

  7. no auto is totally built in the usa anymore, most parts are built overseas and the car is assembled here

  8. We know if you are born in our part of the world and a newcomer by the  car you drive If it is American than your a Texan It is the other way around in the 'great' state of Calif

  9. City ordinances are usually legal within the city.

  10. Yes it is.
