The Great Depression?

I would like a brief summery of what the great depression was in the war. I am studying it next term and would like to get a little bit of knowledge before starting the topic.

  2. Assuming you are referring to the US.

    The great depression started in 1929 when the stock market (wall street) crashed.  However, it was proceeded by an agricultural depression and the stock market crash was preceeded by unregulated and reckless practices.

    I don't know what you mean by "the great depression in the war" - they are generally considered two separate events even tho the war had a huge impact on the depression.

    World War II and the great depression weren't events that were limited to the US, they both had a world wide impact.  And the many authorities believe that the great depression started with the inflation in post WWI Germany.
