Does anyone know on which page of the Great Gatsby in chapter three he is standing outside watching Daisy's dock? I can't find that page and if you could help I would really appreciate it! :)

  1. I think the scene you're talking about is in the last few paragraphs of Chapter One.  Nick comes home from Tom and Daisy's dinner party and smokes a cigarette on his lawn.  He looks up and sees Gatsby with his arms outstretched toward the green light.  Nick tires to figure out what Gatsby is looking at and when he looks back, Gatsby is gone.  If you're edition is fairly new, Chapter One ends at about page 14, I believe.

  2. its on the last two pages of chapter three i believe, so skimm to chapter 4 and go back one page!

  3. Im sure there are many different versions of the book, so my version isn't necessarily yours.  Listen to the song "Smile Like You Mean It" by the Killers and email me if you note any similarities/ references to the Great Gatsby,
