What would you have done if somebody illegally boarded your ship in the middle of the ocean?

  1. Did you know that the 1872 law under which Greenpeace was prosecuted was originally designed to discourage owners of inns and brothels from boarding ships, as they are about to enter port, in order to lure the sailors into their establishments.

    But wouldn't it have been nice if - instead - the time and money spent on this case could have been focused  more on the central issue -- stopping the import of illegally harvested timber?


  2. It is the law of the sea ,you can use reasonable force to disembark them.

    In international waters I would heave them over the side.

    IIRC, the penalty for p****y (under international law) is death.
