The Grip Tape Came Off my Board is that bad?

ive just recently noticed that the grip tape is missing from the front and back of my board and in some spots in the middle theres one spot worn down so bad it the middle that you can see the wood and the end are chipped up really bad...is this bad and will it effect my skating if it dose what should i do

  1. You can go to any skate shop and they can replace the grip tape and install new tape for anywhere between 9 and 16 bucks.

    I guess the price depends on the store but i would definitely get it replaced ASAP.


  2. When your grip tape wheres out it is usually a sign to get a new deck cause your deck is getting old and losing pop. Unless you have really really bad grip tape. I would get a new deck with fresh grip about $55 buck all together. No grip tape on the tail of your board will no effect you skating. but if there's none in the middle or in the pockets (the corners of your board where the concave ends and the nose and tail begin) will effect your skating. Resulting in low Ollie's, bad flippage, and your shoes not ripping. Like everything it has it's pros and cons. Good luck either replacing the grip or getting a new deck
