can anyone help me with these questions?

a) describe the structure of the atrio-ventricular valve

b) does the atrio-ventricular valve appear structurally different from the left side of the heart to the right side?

c)what is the function of the coronary vessels?

  1. a) The AV valves are composed of flaps held together by fibrous ligaments which allow them to open and close.

    b) AV valve on the right hand side of the heart has three flaps and is called the tricuspid valve. the AV valve on the left hand side is the bicupid valve and has two flaps.

    These are forced back to close the valves when the ventricles are filled with blood.

    c) Coronary arteries supply the heart muscle with glucose and oxygen for respiration. Coronary veins carry away CO2 and waste .
