  1. because of GLOBAL WARMING!

since there i water underneath the mountains and the icebergs are melting which makes there more water which raises the level of the mountains

  2. Yes. And it has nothing to do with global warming. It's a plate collision effect caused by Indian plate and Eurasia plate. Himalaya is the 2900 km collision stretch between the two plates. Since Indian plate is still pulling (north) against Eurasia, Himalaya is continuously growing taller.

I'll give you an USGS website. It has full detail.

  3. Plate Tectonics. Giant plates that make up the earths crust float around on a sea of semi-liquid rock (Mantel). When these plates run into each other one is pushed under the other causing the other to lift and buckle. Some one ones told me that Mt. Everest gets taller every year. I'm not sure how much but it's about as fast as your fingernails grow. And the myth of GLOBAL WARMING has nothing to do with it at all.

  4. cause i am full of guinness, keep growing.

  5. I vaguely remember talking about this in college. I believe (don't quote me on it!) it all has to do with plate tectonics and the way they move. The Himalayas are a the result of colliding plates that are still "pushing up" on each other.
