Ok so just say that you could add things or change current parts of the body -these changes wouldent be compulsery just optional and unique to the individual and all the things were reversible/removable -would you alter yourself

You can include the Sci-fi stuff (eg: more senses)to if you wanted or the whole super hero powers (eg:flying or super fast sprinting)

  1. Well - it would be nice if our backs were better-adapted for being bipedal, so people no longer suffered from back complaints.

Ditto for our knees, hips, ankles, feet, etc.

Our eyes have a silly structure - with the neurons in the way of the light. A structure more like that of cephalopod eyes would be better.

If women could give birth some other way than THROUGH the pelvis, it would prevent so many different birth complications.

Nictating membranes to protect the eyes wile still permitting good vision would be nice.

And how about constantly-regenerating teeth, so we don't lose them all (or have toothaches so badly)?

Also good would be if we got rid of niggling problems like wheat glutin intolerance, lactose intolerance, etc.

  2. You know,  I started reading your question and my immediate answer was better vision. Then it occurred to me, people answering a question such as this one are most likely to propose modifications in the place of existing weaknesses. a paraplegic person may pose the idea of titanium carbon fiber legs that can run 45mph for example. A deaf person may propose the ability to play music by ear.

sorry got deep there for a minute. give me vision that can select processing qualities like heat, movement, and radiation levels,

  3. Wings

  4. You might not have seen enough movies, especially hollywood ones.

Go watch them and you can have thousands or more in your answer bucket.

  5. Ultimately, we die because our cells become prone to stress, errors, and just fail, like any old machine. If I had to improve on humanity from a physiological perspective, I'd make a few important changes:

    1. I'd keep a cache of stem cells around and separated from the rest of the body. That way, if some tissue malfunctioned later in life, I could just replace it with some original stem cells.

    2. I'd increase the ability for cells to error-check their DNA, and prevent errors before they become incorporated as part of the blueprint.

    3. I'd increase the functional capabilities of the kidneys and liver to deal with the myriad toxins and synthetic chemicals we deal with everyday. This would keep our bodies clean to begin with, and prevent damage occurring from the environment.
