The Hyundai Tournament of Champions – Bubba Watson, Keegan Bradley and Ian Poulter confirm their participation
With the new season of golf about to start, players are storming in to get themselves registered for the first tournament on the Professional Golf Association Tour – Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
Star players of the tour have confirmed their presence on the fairways of the tournament. Bubba Watson, Keegan Bradley and Ian Poulter are the last players to acknowledge their participation in the tournament.
The Hyundai Tournament of Champions is held at the legendary course designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, Plantation Course at Kapalua.
The tournament has a unique criterion for selecting its participants. Players who have won an event on the previous PGA Tour season get the privilege of being a part of the field line-up.
Bubba Watson’s participation in the tournament will be a cause of concern for the other players. He had a dream 2012 season, winning the Masters Tournament and displaying one of the best rounds of golf during the year.
Watson turned professional back in 2003 and currently plays on the PGA Tour. He has won six professional titles to date.
The American professional golfer, Keegan Bradley is yet another highly talented golfer. The tall golfer has seven professional wins to his credit.
The highlight of his career came back in 2011, when he won the PGA Championship. Consequently, he was awarded with the honour of being the Rookie of the year of 2011.
Ian Poulter, the English professional golfer is a highly experienced individual who has numerous credentials to his name. His presence on the fairways is threatening to the other players, as he can exhibit scintillating golf any given day.
Since he turned professional back in 1995, he has won sixteen titles. The major chunk of his success has been on the European Tour where he amassed twelve titles.
With respectable results in the major championships, the English golfer has made sure that he is not overlooked as a probable contender for any title that he battles for.
On the course, he has got the better of many famous golf personalities. His all round solid game and a determined attitude towards the sport makes him a force to reckon with.
