  1. forget it it wont come back at all

  2. I don't believe you.

Which IOC guy said this? Do you have a published quote from him? Unedited video would be much more convincing.

In the meantime, I don't believe that any Olympic official said softball might return because the United States did not win.

  3. It actually might return for 2016 if hosted in Chicago, so i heard. But it's a definite no [softball] for London.

  4. I think that the decision of eliminating softball from the olympic games was made a long time before they started in beijing. This sports are eliminated for several reason, because the already have the own worldwide championship or because they just don't have any crowd for it. Don't think the lost of one team in particular affected in anyway.

  5. No, It is only a silver lining that Japan won. He said that in many countries, softball's ruling governing body is the same as baseball.  There in an unfair association with Major League baseball, drug stigma.  Outside the US, it is beleived that softball is a women's version for baseball.    In 2016 the IOC must decide between roller skating, squash, karate, golf, rugby, and baseball.  Only two will Make it.  If the IOC cannot be convinced that softball and baseball are different enough, then softball cannot compete with baseball or cannot get away with the stigma of baseball.

  6. Yes it is going to be reinstated, right after Iran puts a man on the moon.
