I have a few golf courses in reasonable driving distance. So which should I choose?

What facilities do you thing are:

- Essential (eg. practice green)

- very valuable (eg. Pro shop)

- handy (eg. 19th hole)

- Don't worry about it (eg. BBQ area)

add your own ideas (toilets near each tee, driving range night lights, trained crocs to fetch your balls going into water hazards)

  1. A place that is fun.   A good practice facility, good teaching equipment is very helpful.   I like a classical course, some quirk and not to long.

  2. I guess this all depends on what your priorities are...

Having a nice pro shop probably isn't important unless you will be buying something ever time you go in.

Having a great bar/restaurant will only be important if your course will be a place for socializing/networking (if this is the case then you would want a course with a strong men's club).

If practicing on a daily bases is important than you would want a course that not only has a lighted driving range but a grass teeing area. A great short game area is also essential.

The general feel of the staff is also very important. Do they seem like a bunch of tools? Or do you think they would be cool to get to know and go tee it up with?

    Good Luck!!!
