The Indian Premier League to have a new Chairman – Cricket News Update
Following the recent announcement by the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) former Chairman, Chirayu Amin, who will be stepping down from the designation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will now be electing a new official for the vacant post,
which will be decided on the Board’s upcoming 82nd Annual General Meeting, scheduled to be held on September 19.
For the matter, one of BCCI’s officials recently stated, “Chirayu Amin wants to step down from the chairmanship of IPL because of his commitments. So a new chairman would have to be elected at the AGM. This is one of the items listed on the agenda of the
meeting”.
