Well for some reason I was playing my Xbox 360 fine for about a week or so, now one of those days in the week the game froze couldn't do a thing, The RLOD (red light of death) occurred there were 3 red light's flashing, so I took out the power brick cable put it back in, everything was fine. The next day same exact game same thing happend but now when take out the powerbrick cable and put it back in the Xbox 360 will stay with the 3 red lights flashing and wont work/wont show anything on the TV screen. Need some advice dont want to call Microsoft to wait 3 weeks for repair, or try the towel trick because I already did. Please I really need some help im dieing to play Cod4 :(. Thank you

  2. sorry its dead u gonna have to call micrsoft the will mail and fix it for free

  3. The three flashing Red Rings of Death means that your XBOX 360 has suffered a total hardware failure. Could be due to excessive overheating, broken hardware, who knows?

If you bought your 360 a year after the release, then you have an extended 3 year warranty. Contact Microsoft about this and they will send you a box to ship your 360 in. Shipping is free, and they'll return in within 2 weeks.

  4. Hi,

3 red lights means that you have a general hardware error it is cuased by the GPU and the CPU from taking too much heat.

This is nothing that you have done or anything to do with where you keep it, but more to do with the design of the Xbox.

To fix it all you need to do is stop the GPU and the CPU from taking so much heat or you can send it back to Microsoft and they will do it for you.

    Hope this helps!
