  1. When Napoleon invaded Russia, he went during the wrong season (as it was becoming winter). That was one bad thing. And the Russians used the scorched earth policy (it has to do with buring all fodd and supplies that can be used against them. And there is one more mistake that I cannot remember.


  2. 16. The occupation of Spain caused the Peninsular war between the French Empire and Spain, Britain and Portugal. The war lasted 6 years and was a major factor in Napoleon's downfall.

    17. It Ruined it although the loss in Russia was much worse and ironically much quicker.

    19. It lead to Pax Britannica, which was when Britain had unquestioned control of the seas.

    20. Austria lost all influence and claims in Italy and Germany, Austria also lost the Tyrol which was ceded to Bavaria. The treaty effectively ended the Holy Roman Empire.

    21. The Confederation of the Rhine was created to replace the Holy Roman Empire in most of Germany. Some of the states included were Saxony, Bavaria, Wurttemberg, Baden, Westphalia, along with many minor states.

    22. Napoleon created the continental system to hurt Britain which was a continent wide embargo of British goods.

    23. Napoleon's reasons for retreating from Russia were lack of supplies, refusal of Russians to make peace, extended supply lines, loss of most of Moscow and threat of uprisings back in Europe if forced out of Russia.

    24. The Treaty of Chaumont was an attempt by the allies to make a cease fire with Napoleon, although Napoleon refused it.

    25. Napoleon's final defeat and battle was the battle of Waterloo in Belgium, 1815.
