The Intercontinental Champion, Ezekiel Jackson, enjoys fourth place in Power 25
The new Intercontinental Champion, Ezekiel Jackson, was honoured with two rewards this week. Firstly, he became the Intercontinental Champion for the first time in his life by defeating Wade Barrett. Secondly, The Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science awarded
him the fourth spot in the Power 25 list.
“The Personification of Domination”, Jackson was included in the pay-per-view event of WWE, “Capitol Punishment” on June 19, where he scored a huge victory of his WWE Career. He faced the former IC Champion, Wade Barrett, in a championship match. He captured
the championship by defeating Barrett after hitting a series of Power Slams.
Barrett was given another title shot for IC Championship during Friday Night SmackDown on June 24. Jackson faced Barrett again with more courage and momentum than before. Although Barrett tried his best to retain his title, but Jackson successfully defended
his championship. He defeated Barrett after hitting same moves, series of Power Slam and pinning for three counts. The two consecutive championship victories helped Jackson to secure his fourth place in the WWE Ranking.
In 18th June’s Power 25 list, Jackson was listed in Top 10 WWE superstars as the number seventh seed. He teamed up with Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan during that week’s Friday Night SmackDown and faced his rival, Barrett, with Cody Rhodes and Ted
DiBiase. The team of Jackson successfully captured the victory over the team of Barrett. The former IC Champion, Barrett, was already removed from the list as he was losing a series of fights against his opponents.
Alex Riley also made an amazing upward jump in this week’s Power 25 list. He was on the tenth spot last week and now he is placed at the sixth position in the rankings. Riley took the victory in a challenge match against The Miz at “Capitol Punishment”.
One day after “Capitol Punishment”, he teamed up with John Cena and Randy Orton and fought with the team of The Miz, R-Truth and Christian. Riley, Cena and Orton took won over Miz, R-Truth and Christian during Monday Night Raw on June 20. Due to both victories,
The AWAS put Riley on sixth place of the Power 25 list.
