The Internet: Your oppinion

Question

Do you believe it the best thing in the world, or the worst or both!

People seem to have lost how to connect with each other face to face, they've lost what the meaning of life is and how to live

things such as my space, facebook and bebo are just examples. Anyone can write something over the internet, but isn't it better if we talk face to face.. when we write over the net we don't get all the things we would have if we were actually talking like someones presence, there tone of voice etc..

Do you get what i mean?

Yes, I prefer being with people, every time... talking face to face is much more gratifying, because you see expressions and feel moods..

I use the internet to keep in contact with friends, but I also see them often as well. Some of my friends I had lost contact with, but thanks to Bebo I found them again, I would never have found them without it. So I think it's great

I agree the best and the worst.  So much knowledge available in seconds, answers to almost any question.  Then, as you said people no longer no how to communicate face to face, between the internet and text messaging, oh and there is also the fact that my teenage son can access things within seconds that we would never allow in our home.  The whole world is accessible.  Good and Bad.

The tragedy of it all is that the opportunities to connect with real people at anything like the level we can connect over the internet are not there.

It is a twilight world where a meeting of minds electronically is infinitely preferable to the gripping loneliness that is the real world.

the internet can be a wonderful thing, I met my wife on Yahoo and we have been together for 8 years and happily married for a year.

The internet can also ruin relationships too, if you become addicted.

I rely on the internet to make a living, if I didn't have it I'd be a lot poorer.

There are always good and bad sides to things.

the internet is functional. unfortunately people abuse the internet because there is no law on the internet.  you can find ANYTHING on the internet if you look hard enough.presence and proximity
