  1. Similarities

    -Small Island Country

-Outside the cities, most people still live in tight knit communities

-Small Population with a high probability that people they meet know their mother! That's why Irish men have very good manners.

    Enjoy your Visit

  2. Where were you; north or south? And where are you now? Spend my teenage years in Belfast (mixed race), and I'll tell you what, while the RUC and the IRA...along with other groups were fighting with each other, it NEVER stopped people from being friendly and with manners. It's no saga...just their way of getting through life. Even hard b******s had manners - they were not vexed by their next-door neighbours - just the way they had to guard their people against what they saw were the 'enemy'.

Good god...just read a few more of your questions - are you from Wolvo? You poor sod!

  3. Because being Celts we understand most cultures, we do not subject our woman to being second class, Celts regarded their woman as equal and family was very important.

Celt woman even fought along side their men, there were no poor people in the village because all helped those that were in need.

And that went for any culture that were in their charge, Celts intermarried into many cultures as they moved west to Ireland.

Have a nice time in Ireland, whatever anyone says Celts are very proud people and give shelter and food to any stranger that passes by.

  4. I answered another of your questions but here it is again;

    The Irish Culture, by Ciara!

We're never in a rush, we always stop for a chat,

It's just the way that we are, and that's that!

In need of a pound of butter, then don't rush into town,

Call over to Mary next door, she won't let you down!

Come over for a summer, come over for a day,

But make sure and pack plenty, You'll surely want to stay!

We're known for our humour, we're know for our smile,

You could be mesmerized by our accent, well for a little while!

That's the best poem I have ever made up!!

  5. I think Lenny Henry once descibed Ireland as Jamaica on speed
