A great many of the British public who hate Mrs Thatcher also have dementia. Have they forgotten the thousands of ordinary working class people who were able to buy their council houses due to her. As for the unions yes right up them also. Remember Red Robbo and Arthur Scargill both of them together were no match for the Iron Lady.

The lady had an enormous intellect, a strong will and self-belief, she was and is a great patriot, and I find it sad that she is, like so many others, in her old age slowly succumbing to dementia.  The upside to this is that she will be very largely unaware of what is happening to her, and therefore she is unlikely to be hurt by it.  The same cannot be said for those who find themselves in her daughter's position who have to care for the sufferer, and they deserve more support, both moral and financial, to help them in their task.  I wish Mrs Thatcher well, Carole too.
