The JFK assassination?

They say that David Atlee Phillips was a key figure in the assassination conspiracies and that he in fact framed Lee Harvey Oswald. How did he frame Oswald?

It was said that David Atlee Phillips bore a striking resemblance to a man who had met with Lee Harvey Oswald in Mexico City to discuss a possible assassination of Fidel Castro. Some people claim that this man, Maurice Bishop was, in fact, David Atlee Phillips. The incident in Mexico City supposedly took place in late September, 1963. Since Lee Harvey Oswald was, in fact, an admirer of Fidel Castro, this whole scenario seems unlikely. Still, just because somebody looks like somebody else does not mean that that person is really him/her. Citing a lack of evidence, this story was dismissed, but not for many decades. The London Times even eventually gave David Atlee Phillips an undisclosed amount of cash to help ease the pain this had caused him, along with a public apology. Quite possible the person who got framed was David Atlee Phillips and not Lee Harvey Oswald. Don't know if the real truth of the whole matter will ever be resolved.
