  1. if the blacks there had of respected tradition and stayed away from that tree to start with, none of this would have happened.....the blame lies on the group of troublemakers that went and asked the principal to let them sit under the tree....but those 6 who continued to beat and kick the boy once he was down deserve to be in jail...the other fight stopped when they white kids had hit the black boy a few times..he started whining and ran away and they let him go....

  2. I feel sorry for the families.

I have heard that an internet site has posted the families addresses & phone numbers & they have been receiving threats from OUTSIDE of Jena.

If these black kids did beat the white kid, supposedly knocked him out, then they should be severely punished. There is no such thing as a "harmless" after-school fight - especially when it 5 against 1.

Should they be charged with attempted murder? I don't have all the facts, neither does anybody outside of the courtroom. Therefore I will withhold my opinion.

I also feel sorry for the school receiving all this negative publicity. Plus there was the mysterious fire that burned down a section of the school after the Jena 5 er 6 were charged.

Then Revs Al & Jesse did their best to fan racial hatred & get as much publicity as possible for themselves. What positive good did these 2 hasbeens add to the situation?

  3. ok, I'm not a racist, lets get that clear, but I see it this way, if they beat up that boy for no reason, they need to get whats coming to them.  and if that means doing some jail time then so be it!  you can rest assured that the "white" people wouldn't be having a march for the "white" boys if they had done anything like this.  tho it seems that every time a black person or a person of any other race than white gets into trouble, we are accused of being racist and Mr. Sharpton and Mr. Jackson have to have their nose buried in it to make sure there is plenty of problems and stir up a bunch of nonsense that doesnt need to be.  I think they all should be treated the same for their crimes.  and for those that hung the nooses on that tree, I think they should be suspended.

  4. I have a comment for What's in a name.  I am not a racist either,  but I disagree with you, correction.  White men did march, they charged the black guy with a outrageous sentice.  Do you feel me now, hence Jesse and Al.........And if they beat that white guy for no reason, why did they pick him????
