The Jim Penney trained Class Included bags the $50,000 Boeing Handicap at Emerald Downs
The Jim Penney trained, Class Included, delivered an incredible performance on 8thJuly, 2012, when she competed at Emerald Downs and landed a massive victory in the Boeing Handicap - which covered a distance of a mile.
Teamed with rider Juan Gutierrez, the four-year-old filly completed the race in 1 minute and 34.48 seconds, finishing 2 ½ lengths over her stable-mate, Sweet Nellie Brown, while Carrabelle Harbor finished in third place.
The Amy and Michael Feuerborn owned runner entered as high-weight of 121 pounds.

She already had this advantage over the rest of the competition, and performed in the way that she was expected to, winning the race in grand fashion.
The jockey strategically sat behind the pacesetters, Elusive Noise and Carrabelle Harbor, and gained pace in the closing stages of the race.

Sweet Nellie Brown also caught up but, could not do enough to defeat Class Included.
The winning jockey was pleased with the results of the race as he told the press that:
“I expected three horses to go for the lead, and I could just sit behind them,” Gutierrez commented. “My filly was really relaxed. I felt comfortable on her the whole way. I was smooching at her a little on the turn to see what she had left. I could
tell she had a lot of horse. She went by the leaders very easily. She’s a classy filly. She doesn’t play around.”
In the thirteen starts Class Included has competed in, she has total earnings of $256,823, amassed in seven victories and six finishes as a runner-up.
The familiarity with the track might have been a benefit for the runner, since she competed here in the last four starts.

She also claimed a victory in the Hastings Handicap, which covered a distance of six furlongs.
With Juan Gutierrez on her back, she completed the course in 1 minute and 09.17 seconds, claiming victory over Elusive Noise. Elusive Noise was the pacesetter but the filly stalked her pace and gained the lead in the mid-stretch.
Class Included looks in incredible shape with many victories to come her ways.
