  1. Dude, you're talking about The Keepers: An Alien Message for the Human Race, by Jim Sparks. The question specifically stated The Keepers: WWIII by Rick Friar. These are two completely different books and authors. The Keepers by Rick Friar is a trilogy. The first book is WWIII, the second is Tribulation, and the third is yet to come out. The trilogy deals with the rise to power of a man by the name of Geiseric, whose skills of oratory and mass manipulation are explained and shown in the greatest detail. This makes the story disturbingly believable. Everyone I know who's read the book feels that they could've been manipulated by Geiseric, the way he portrays himself at the beginning of his rise to power. Of course, they know he ultimately uses it all for war. But if they didn't know that he was gonna misuse his power, most people I know who read it feel that they wouldve elected Geiseric. He accomplishes many great things, completely renovating his nation into the uncontested leader of the world. The historical and political patterns of the present and past are wound together to show where they may be trending toward in the future. The technology, like the biomimicry and the Laser Net, all of it is completely believable because the book shows how our present state of technology is hitting a singularity, where it will all of a sudden have a technological Big Bang, where many new and awesome things will be created. The book was dope. I'm just pissed the thirds not out yet
