The Kite Runner any good?

Was the Kite Runner the movie any good? Was it nearly as good as the book? I want to know to see if I should rent it.

it was excellent. as good as the book.

It was good, but a little less as good as the book, my opinion. Yes nearly as good as the book, I prefer the book more than the movie. Rent it, its worth it!

I liked it a lot.  And, though this is a bit of a minority opinion, I actually liked several aspects of it more than the book (and that's not something I say very often) - especially the ending.

But, if you have the time, I'd advise both reading the book if you haven't already watching the movie.  Both are worth the time, in my opinion.
