  1. I think part of Hosseini's purpose may be to educate about Afghanistan, but I think his purpose is more to talk about the strength of the human spirit and to point out the importance of forgiveness, forgiveness of oneself, forgiveness of parents, forgiveness of anyone who has wronged you.
