I'm confuserd about what "race" the kurdish people from Middle East are considered to be.

I've heard that we're aryan, but aryan is not a race.

So does anyone know?

  1. It is Arabic.

  2. Kurdish is not a race for the same reason that Aryan is not a race.  These are both ethnicities, at best.  Even "Middle Eastern" or "Caucasian" do not imply race - only region of origin.  "Middle Eastern" as a race is often given for a diverse span from Persian to Amazigh (Berber) to Arab, and a people from the Caucasus could include most from the Indian subcontinent.

The Kurds are actually more closely related to the Basque of Northern Spain than they are to Arabs or Persians, and neither of these subjugated ethnicities has been afforded its own racial designation.  You could equate the difference between race and ethnicity to that between language and dialect.  These are semantics.  Some say the difference between a language and a dialect is that a language has an army and a navy - perhaps the same could be said for the dominance of a "race" category over an "ethnicity".

  3. I believe they are from "The Kurds & Whey" Tribe !
