are ladder Matches in the WWE underrated or overrated?

I think they are overrated in the way that they are preformed. Ladder matches in the WWE are fairly interesting but there is so much more stuff they can do to make it more extreme and exciting.

I mean, the match will get much better ratings if someone is thrown off the ladder through the announce table, more spears from the top turnbuckle to people on the ladder (done by Edge), more weapons used ( there are no rules in this match except get whatever hangs over the ring. Let's see some chairs, tables, sludgehammers, kendo sticks, anyting but only using the table.

However, the very concept of the match is underrated. Like I said there are so many things IN THEORY that could happen in the match to make it fantastic.

So my verdict is:

In theory: Underrated

Actual matches: Overrated

WQ: Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart

And The Hardyz vs. E&C (first time)

Armageddon 2006-4 way tag team match

Taker vs jeff undisputed champion

Tlc match at wrestlemania

To the first question: depends on the situation because some of the ladder matches seemed to be thrown together with absolutely no build-up in the storyline (ex. Edge vs Ric Flair in a TLC match)

To the second question: My favorite Ladder Match would have to be either Shawn Micheals vs. Razor Ramon- Wrestlemania X or Dudleyz vs. Hardyz vs. Edge and Christian- Wrestlemania 2000

I don't think that they are overrated, unless they have too many in the same time frame.

Underrated- Because some might forget how much punishment the wrestler body could go through

overrated- Because we know what is mostly coming someone is going through a table someone will get slammed with the ladder....etc , etc
