I have to discuss 3 clashes between races or cultures in The Last of the Mohicans, and explain how James Fenimore Cooper's view on racism is apparent in these examples for a school project. I think I have the 3 examples:
1. The clash beween Magua's tribe and Hawkeye's party in the beginning of the novel
2. The massacare at Fort Henry
3. The battle between the Delaware and Huron tribes
but i just cannot seem to find what Cooper's view on racism is. I have read the book and the spark/cliffnotes, but they haven't really helped me. Any input on how Cooper's view on racism is apparent in these examples would be greatly appreciated! Also, if there are any quotes in the book that could be used to help explain the point, that would be great as well! =)
And the movie is NOT the same as the book. I'm talking about the book ONLY
Thanks =)
