The train that carried the body of Abraham Lincoln, The Lincoln Special, passed through several indiana towns on it's way from Indianapolis to Chicago. Can anyone tell me which railroad companies tracks The Lincoln Special ran on North of Indianapolis?

  1. It changed hands.

It was handled, in order, by the Baltimore and Ohio, Pennsylvania Railroad, across the Hudson River by ferry, to the New York Central, then to the Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati Railway then to the St. Louis and Alton.

Google "Abraham Lincoln, Train" and all the info is there.  I learned something researching your question.  Thanks for asking.
