  1. No, it's brainwashing! They made them shovel rocks for goodness sake! If they need discipline, they need to join the Civil Air Patrol as a Cadet. You will actually learn something worthwhile! Join cap.gov instead of that place! Oh my god!

  2. That looks just like a movie I saw about a camp called Jesus Camp about Evengical Christians. My social worker and I both agree that is one of the scariest horror movies ever. I think the Lord's Boot Camp is a horrible idea let children decide when they get older about religion but give them some freedom if it is the right way to go children will find there own way there when the reach adulthood or even teenagers. These types of  place are horrible to a youths  sense of worth at one point in the movie  Jesus Camp the lady running the camp told all the kids they are horrible people and that god doesnt like fakes in the army of god. She yelled at these kids because they are one thing at home and one when they are with there parents. The way these places work is they eally intergrate children activites into the Lords teaching to make it seem like they are just having fun not brain washed Get real what kid isnt like that. Anywayz for TLBC close it down!!!

  3. Disturbing to see how these kids were never taught to see others as good people.  They are just supposed to see everyone as sinners, no matter what religion.  How do they know their religion is correct?  How much time have they spent trying to figure that out without the Camp and those counselors brainwashing them.  Everyone has the same right to worship any god(s) they want.  These missionaries are not helping people but just trying to "convert" them so that the missionaries can feel better about themselves.

  4. yeah it looks ok. i pasted a website with short video. but i would look farther into it. looks like they teach some discipline. kids need that now days.

  5. I can't give a definite answer. My take on it is that it really seems like a good program for teenagers who ARE Christians to give their lives to God and help others do the same, but it is you choice. I don't a lot about it, but I did see the special on CBS and I think its something good for any Christian teen.

  6. How can you answer if you've never been there?  I've been to TLBC - it is amazing.  They give kids the opportunity to help the poor around the world, something Christians are routinely accused of not doing.  Do they talk about Christianity?  Of course!  It's a Christian camp!  If you don't want your kids to go to a Christian camp, don't send them.  But don't belittle those who want to put feet to their faith.

  7. I have never heard of this camp.  If you think that the problems will continue without some extreme changes, then maybe it will work.  I would go and visit the camp first.

  8. Ok I think this is a good idea. This special education therapist that thinks it is a bad idea must be a Liberal. Why cant each individual make an educated informed decision? How can you make such a decision unless you experience this camp?

  9. All I hear is the fabulous answer to Global Warming: Global Warming is real, but Jesus is coming so it does not matter how much carbon dioxide and chlorine we spew out because we will all be gone in Rapture!

  10. FIRST, understand the concept of its purpose.

The main idea is to prepare for a very different experience in a 3rd world country doing missionary work.

SECOND, understand that to be a missionary you must have a mission, a purpose. The "push" behind their going to Africa is essentially based on scriptural encouragement to "Go and preach the Gospel to all the nations"--us states included....everywhere...

--WOULD IT BE  a good idea to just jump into something w/o thinking about it, REPARING, MAKING SURE UR INTENTIONS ARE GENUINE??NO...

SO YES, THE LORDS BOOT CAMP IS A GOOD IDEA.

** i would note that you dont need TO FOCUS SO MUCH ON GETTING A "percentage of people to coNvert"

THAT IS NOT THE MAIN INTENTION OF CHRISTIANITY. ESSENTIALLY ITS TO BUILD AND FORM A RELATIONSHIP W UR HEAVENLY FATHER THAT DIED FOR YOU. BOTTOM LINE.

I WOULDNT  WANT TO CALL MYSELF A CHRISTIAN NECCESSARILY. I JUST WANNA SAY THAT I LVOE THE LORD AND READ HIS WORD AND IM ALWAYS TRYING TO BE LIKE HIM...BUT IF I HAVE TO TELL PEOPLE IM A  CHRISTAIN AND THEY CANT ALREADY SEE THAT IM DIFFERENT THAN HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM...

TO BE A CHRISTIAN U MST BE CHRIST LIKE, IN HIS OWN IMAGE...SOME PEOPLE ARE ACTING LIKE EVERYONE ELSE, ARE THEY CHRISTIANS??

THE MAIN THING PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND IS THAT CHRISTAINITY IS NOT  A RELIGION, ITS A RELATIONSHIP..

BUT IT IS TRUE, BC A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO LOVE THE LORD ARE VERY "RELIGIOUS" AND SEEM LIKE ALL THEY DO IS TRY N CONVERT..ETC....AND THEIR INTENTIONS ARE GOOD, BUT THATS NOT WHAT JESUS NECCESSARILY DID WHEN HE CAME TO EARTH AS A MAN...HE FOMED RELATIONSHIPS, HE SHOWED LOVE, HE FORGAVE..HE PROVED HIMSELF  BIGGER OVER ANY TEMPTATION.. AND THAT LEAVES MORE OF A MARK THAN THE SOUND OF A WORD CALLED "CHRISTIANITY"

  11. No absolutely Not. Be careful, do not do this.
