  1. Depends on where you go to reserve it. Right now, most of the vegas strip hotels are offering absolutely fantastic deals to try to get people into the hotels once again.

  2. A lot of things factor into this. How close you are to your trip, The days of the week that you'll be staying. And also, if you're a member of the MGM Players club. Booking direct with the hotel is generally cheaper. Also Being a member of the Player's Club will also garner you special offers, on a regular basis.. Contrary to other vacation destinations, Las Vegas is one place where, you will get cheaper rates if you wait to book at the last minute. One other thing about Vegas hotels. If you book direct and the rate goes lower, the week of your trip... Many hotels will adjust your rate to reflect the lower price. But you have to ask for this at the time you re-confirm your reservation. Also, many times rate adjustments will not apply to online specials

The Luxor is my favourite hotel in Vegas. I have gotten Pyramid rooms for as low as $59 dollars and as high as $81. This is for Sunday-Wednesday rates. Tower rooms have run me $79-$130 for Sunday-Wednesday rates. The most expensive rates, as a general rule will be Thursdays-Saturdays. But that is the Player's Club rate.

A few tips- If you choose to take a Pyramid room-

Make sure you get placed above the 5th floor. While you won't hear the music, you will still feel the vibrations from both the IMAX theatre and the LAX nightclub, if you stay any lower than the 5th floor.

Also, the Tower rooms are newer, have brighter lighting, and if you want a bath, take a Tower room. All the Tower rooms have showers and tubs. The Pyramid rooms have mostly "Showers for two". There are some bath tubs in Pyramid rooms but very few. If you want a spa suite, they are in all four corners of every floor, of the Pyramid.

  3. I love the Luxor, now geared away inside from the Egyptian look and toward the 20's age group with two great night clubs.  Made sure you ask for a room with a view of the Strip, which means not the lower prices ones that have NO view.

Check out www.luxor.com for the exact rates including upgrades and other amenities.

  4. Luxor is one of the cheaper hotels on the Strip but the price will change by the hour and depending when you are going in particualr if you there over a weekend or not. The MVP is the cheapest deal you could ever hope for travel agents would never tell you about this deal but its listed here. http://vegasuncovered.wordpress.com/2008...

  5. It depends on the day of the week. Rates start at $59 /night. Look for Luxor promo codes when booking in order to get lots of freebies from Luxor. Here are a few codes.
