Question:

The Man City FC Situation??

What do you think about the new owners of Man City FC?? They are willing to buy Christiano Ronaldo from Manchester United FC in January for £132million.

I'd like your opinion on the overall situation.

My opinion is the Arabian people who have bought the club obviously have money to spare. 1 of them has £500billion, the others have a similar amount. I think they are going to buy all the good players for huge amounts and pay them brilliant wages to make a 'Dream Team' and if it doesn't work, or when they've finished, or when they get bored, they'll sell them all off again.

Your opinion??

  1. When they try a Man City pork pie at half time they will sell up and leave.

  2. The game of football is fast becoming the laughing stock of world sport.£132 million for 1 player?I think if that happens, the last man out of the FA should turn the lights out.In a time when thousands of people are struggling to keep afloat because of the credit crunch, the last thing you want to see is another foreign player coming to these shores on over £100,000 a week....

  3. After years of living in the shadows of he top four who, realistically are only there because of big financial backing and are in hock to their necks. Man U owe approx 600 mil, Liverpool 650mil, Arsenal undisclosed, Chelsea, if Abramovitch requested his investment back, then they would be in serious financial trouble. I detect "the green eyed god of envy or sour grapes". Manchester City have now got credulous financial backing, not( frozen millions which didn't pose a threat). Now we a serious threat and the top four are terrified. They have been enthroned in their ivory towers for too long, the time of reckoning is at hand. Be Afraid aid Be very afraid,. We are coming for you. We have already blanked Chelsea. Man u (our red brothers) have felt our wrath, Forced to cough up an extra 5.75 mil and a player to boot for Berbatov. All top four will be targeted in January for your best players with offers that will be hard to refuse:- Ronaldo - £134 mil, Berbatov - £60 mil. Torres £60 mil. Fabregaus - 60 mil. Chelsea have nobody that we consider good enough to bother with. For all United fans and suporters, I would be absolutely delighted if we purchased Ronaldo, and left him languishing on the bench or better still, in his hotel room, just to teach him and Ferguson  lessons in loyalty and arrogance respectfully. All together now (sing) "Blue moon...". May the force be with all who enter "Middle Eastlands" especially Chelsea supporters. We offer you all a heart felt welcome on the 13th. S.W.P wants to say "Hello"

  4. nobody has 500 billion man. then he would be the richest man in the world and the richest man today, warren buffet only has like 60 billion. you're right though, they do have the potential to make man city the next chelsea or real madrid.

  5. when they win everything in england and europe they will bugar off

  6. I just hope they don't put the petrol prices up again to pay for him

  7. apparently they offered liverpool 50 million for torres and offered madrid an open cheque for van nistelrooy!

i know a few people whove become completely disillusioned with the prem, and i cant say i blame them.  success these days is far more to do with money than it was before the prem

im a liverpool fan but if youre being sensible you have to say that wengers achievement at arsenal - the best football on their day with far less outlay than the other big clubs - is remarkable.  there'll be huge pressure on mark hughes now to deliver trophies over the next few seasons, and with all that money available anything less than a cup in the next few seasons has to be classed as failure

  8. Perhaps it's time for the leagues the world over to examine their rules and start implementing a wage cap or spending cap?!

If clubs want to level the playing field, to prevent the uber rich from literally buying their way to success, it will be a good idea to cap something. Of course, it has to be in proportion of the club's revenues.

In that way, no one can be accused of penalising a team.

  9. well first of all no matter how much money theyv got ronaldo would never leave utd for city......no chance!!!

with the owners you never though tho what there plans are, for example i dont think anyone thought abramovich would still be at chelsea and at the time the americans buying liverpool there was so much optimisism...now look at them

  10. The lunatics have taken over the asylum. Football will end up eating itself, just like the old age pensioner attached at the end of young Wayne's 'tallywacker!'

  11. Renaldo is so passe

one good season does not make a man

  12. Absoulutly ridiculas. The're jumping into things. And will tell you why. They bought Robinho for 30 odd million pounds. A good manager, a good new manager, does not 'jump' into what he feels is the right thing to do financially and mentally for the club. If you look at people like Martin O'Niael at Aston Villa, he came to the club with a clean slate, and a open mind, and it got him very far. The new owners of Manchester City has done a horrible thing to the club, which they will pay for in later years to come. This is not a wise move in my opinion. Josh

  13. Obviously i can understand why they are doing it!!

But personally i dont think any person is worth £132 million!

I dont think people should be getting paid £100,000 a week to play football....

There are so many people in the world who dont see that money in there life time!

Just think if people like these Arabs,David Beckham,Ronaldo, and other millionaires all gave £1 million pound to a 3rd world country! Do you realise what that could do!

And whats a million pound to David Beckham...he proberly makes that on intrest a month!!!
