Agent Smith accuses mankind of being a virus; an uncontrollable disease on earth. He suggests that he is the cure for the virus that Neo represents. Is there some truth to this point of view?

  1. I honestly believe we "modernized" people are. We take over and consume every resource until it is gone. Unfortunately our motivating agent is based on greed, money, and power.

Unlike the "3rd world countries" we labeled--they can live in harmony with their surroundings, we cannot. We have to have the best of the best at all times...constantly outdoing one another to be the top dog.

I remember not having a cell phone and being perfectly fine, I remember having no a/c and lived fine (I'm in Florida), I remember having pasta for dinner almost every night and no one complained about carbs, I remember playing outside unsupervised for HOURS until dark, and we all made it home safe. I remember using a computer for the first time in 1992. And to think I was born in 1981. I wasn't a 40's, 50's, 60's, or 70's child.

Our values have been erradicated. There is no faith in anything, and we only worship wealth. Simple is better I believe. But this is only based on my opinion. I do have faith that we will regress to better times when your word was your bond. Until then I can only try to influence as best I can, and hope others will do the same.
